Probably the best tape I bought this year. Great mix of Black Metal and Punk/Oi!/whatever you want to call it. Truly sick, sound is quite good considering most bands who mix those subgenres are extremely lo-fi.

Mooncitadel - As Nightwind Embraced and the Shadows Caressed [2016]

First demo by this Finnish band. You know the deal - somewhat melodic Black metal, yet not gay (even when the synth kicks in), this one has a bit of that "years of lore" vibe from the mid 90's. An enjoyable ride.

Jassa - Dark Years of Dearth [2012]

Heathen Black metal from Mother Russia. Melodic but fierce, this band will appeal followers of the Hate Forest/Drudkh sound. I heard they released a new album last month, which I haven't checked yet but I surely will. Hail Perun.

Black Jesus - Demo [2012]

A very nice first demo of this death metal band. Filthy sound with a little Proclamation tendence. I am not a death metal fan, BUT! I reeeeally really like this demo.
